What is Zyteghost?
You describe what you want to keep up with. We read the sources that cover it and email you a short digest of the most important highlights — no feed, no scrolling, no stack of browser tabs to manage.
How do you decide what goes in my digest?
Everything we collect gets summarised once, then matched against your interests and ranked. Only the strongest handful make it in. If it was a quiet window you will get a short digest rather than a padded one — we would rather send less than pretend.
Where do the stories come from?
Publications you name, plus the pool of sources we already follow. When you name something we go and find its feed, so “Armin Ronacher” or a link pasted from your address bar both work.
What if you can't find a source I asked for?
It stays on your dashboard with the reason next to it, so you can correct it or try a different address. Nothing you type is silently dropped.
How often does it arrive?
Daily or weekly, your choice, and you pick morning or evening — we send at a sensible hour in your own timezone rather than at 3am.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Zyteghost is free: your topic, up to 100 sources you choose, and daily or weekly delivery. There is no paid tier and no card to enter.
How do I stop the emails altogether?
Every digest has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click is all it takes. You can also change cadence or delivery time in settings if the mail is welcome but the timing is not.
Do the summaries make things up?
The summaries are written by a model, so treat them as a pointer to the article rather than a replacement for it. Quotes are the exception: every quoted sentence is checked against the real article text and dropped if it does not match exactly. We would rather show no quote than an invented one.
Do you support podcasts and newsletters?
Not yet. If you name one we record it, which is how we decide what to build next — so asking for it genuinely counts as a vote.
